Jacobson Plaza at The Falls

Jacobson Plaza at The Falls is a major park improvement to Sioux Falls’ namesake park. Jacobson Plaza is situated at the upper falls adjacent to Levitt at the Falls and The Steel District

Jacobson Plaza at The Falls provides a variety of amenities, including a skate ribbon, a playground that’s universally designed for all ages and abilities, a warming house with a gathering hall, an open-air shelter, an off-leash dog park named “Pawsible Park,” T. Denny Sanford Splash Pad, and improved trail connections to downtown destinations and the greater recreation trail network.

Jacobson Plaza at The Falls provides a variety of amenities, including: 

Skate Ribbon, Warming House, and Gathering Hall 
The Jacobson Plaza outdoor skate ribbon is a 14,000-square-foot ribbon that is 20 feet wide and nearly two football fields long. It is supported by a warming house with skate rentals, fire pits, music, and lighting. The skate ribbon is open year-round and will be used for ice skating and other recreational activities.  

The gathering hall, known as The Lodge Bar & Grill, serves a variety of hot food, adult beverages, hot cocoa during the winter, Parlour ice cream, and small bites. The Lodge is also available to rent for private events throughout the year.

Largest Playground in Sioux Falls
The playground is the largest playground in Sioux Falls and serves as a destination playground for the region. It is universally designed so it can accommodate anyone, regardless of their age and abilities. The playground supports users' physical, sensory, and cognitive needs and provides an opportunity for users to acquire new skills while socializing and building self-esteem.

Pawsible Park From the Lloyd Family  
The Pawsible Park is a donation from the Lloyd family. This dog park is an off-leash artificial turf dog park with a sanitizing system, seating, shade, a drinking fountain, and separate spaces for small and large dogs.

T. Denny Sanford Splash Pad
The T. Denny Sanford Splash Pad is the largest splash pad in Sioux Falls. It is located to the south of the ice ribbon and features a variety of water play experiences for all age groups.
