Our summers are always full of amazing events and festivals, but here are six that you won't want to miss.

Downtown Open Streets

Downtown Sioux Falls Open Streets returns on July 3, transforming parts of Phillips Avenue into a car-free community playground with a variety of vendors and entertainment. An additional event will be held the first Friday of August.

Sioux Falls Independence Day Parade

Celebrate the 4th of July in downtown Sioux Falls for during the Independence Day Parade. Come wearing your best patriotic attire and stake out your spot to see the wonderful floats that go by.

Free Fireworks Display

End your Independence Day celebrations by watching the impressive (and free) fireworks display at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. In addition to the fireworks, there will also be a lineup of various entertainment acts leading up to the start of the fireworks display.

Lallycooler Music Festival

After a successful inaugural year, Lallycooler Music Festival is moving to the "The Birdcage" this year, home of the Sioux Falls Canaries. This two-day music festival taking place July 10-11 will feature headliners Darius Rucker and Jason Derulo along with Bow Wow, Gavin DeGraw, Braxton Keith, and more.

Hot Summer Nites

See hundreds of Corvettes, both classic and new, on July 15 in Downtown Sioux Falls during Hot Summer Nites. Taking place at 8th & Railroad Center and the Lumbar Exchange parking ramp, you can roam around and admire all the Corvettes parked for viewing. There will be live music, food trucks, and beverage vendors as well.

Sioux Falls Airshow

The much-anticipated Sioux Falls Airshow makes its return July 18-19 at the South Dakota Air National Guard. Thousands of spectators are expected to attend this free event to see incredible stunts in the sky, fly-overs, and many different aircraft ground displays.
