Sioux Empire Medical Museum
Housed at the Sanford Health main campus, this museum includes displays relating to medical advancements from the early 1900's to present day. See a 1912 vintage operating room and a 1940s iron lung. Nursing uniforms, equipment and photographs depict the legacy of medical changes and advancements. Groups of 15 or more please call ahead for a scheduled visit.

Sadly, this museum is closed, as in permanently so. Disappointed, but will seek out museums of medical focus elsewhere, and focus on what Sioux Falls DOES offer.

A must see when in Sioux Falls! Very interesting look back into medical history. Our tour guide, Choral, was delightful! If offered, take the tour with a guide to get the whole story.
Pretty cool stuff. Wow tech has improved over time
I was fascinated how times and tech has changed over the years. Very cool exhibit. I'm thankful i not live 100 years ago.
