Family Park

Family Park is a community fishing park in Sioux Falls and is located a half mile north of 12th Street and Tea-Ellis Road. Family Park is a cooperative effort between the Soukup Family, the City of Sioux Falls and the South Dakota Department of Game Fish and Parks. The park was created to provide a place close to Sioux Falls where people and families can go to learn, practice and enjoy the sport of fishing.

This 90 acre park includes two stocked fishing ponds, a boat ramp, docks for fishing, two picnic shelters and walking trails. The ponds contains trout, bass, crappie, and northerns. Shore fishing is permitted.

Family Park also has its own dog park. The three-acre fenced off-leash area offers separate sections for small dogs and any dogs. The park amenities include fencing, concrete walkways, irrigated open space, bench seating, shade structures, drinking fountains, dog wash stations, and natural dog play features.
