Hot August Nights Big Band Dance

Join us for the Hot August Nights Big Band Dance, as we dance to live music from the Apostles  Band, Friday, August 14, on the spacious hardwood-floored ballroom of the El Riad Shrine in downtown Sioux Falls. The Apostles Band features experienced musicians with broad experience performing  an extensive repertoire of music complementary to swing, ballroom, two step, and Latin dancing styles for a great dance and listening experience. 

The evening begins at 6:45 with a beginner’s dance lesson, free with admission to the dance, taught by an experienced instructor. The dance begins at 7:30. There will be opportunities for instruction in other partnered dances throughout the evening. During band breaks, we will have popular line dances such as the Electric Slide. 

We suggest comfortable business casual attire or a dressier formal look. If you have a summer-themed outfit, this is a great opportunity to wear it. 

Pay admission at the door; $15 each or for students with a student ID $7 each. 

There is ample free parking on the street and in the large municipal parking lot on the east side of the El Riad.
