The 1926 Black Sox Baseball Team at the Pettigrew Home & Museum

Trava Olivier, Museum Educator for the Pipestone County Historical Society, will be sharing the story of the 1926 Black Sox baseball team. This all African American team was based out of Sioux Falls, SD, Pipestone, MN, and Marcus, IA, during the 1926 season. Guests will learn a brief history of Black baseball in America and how it ties to this team’s location in the region. Admission is free.
