Red, White, and Blue Big Band Dance

Join us for our “Red, White, and Blue Big Band Dance,” Friday, July 10. We will be dancing to live music performed by the El Riad Big Band, on the spacious hardwood-floored ballroom of the El Riad Shrine in downtown Sioux Falls. It may be hot outside, but it will be cool inside, and all are welcome to join us to enjoy the music and dance at the El Riad dance floor. 

The evening begins at 6:45 with a beginner dance lesson, free with admission to the dance. The dance follows, beginning at 7:30. The 17-piece El Riad Big Band will be playing music suited to your favorite dances; including swing, ballroom, two step, and Latin dancing styles. And there will be opportunities for instruction in other partnered dances throughout the evening, along with popular line dances such as the Electric Slide, Shivers, and Fireball. 

Dress-up or business-casual wear is suggested, and if you have a favorite red, white, and blue summer outfit, this is the time to wear it. 

Admission at the door is $15 each, or for students with a school ID, $7. 

There is ample free parking on the street and in the large lot on the east side of the El Riad.
