National Museum Day

On Saturday, September 18, both the Kirby Science Discovery Center and Visual Arts Center will participate in Free Museums Day sponsored locally by Sammons Financial Group. This national event, hosted by Smithsonian Magazine, brings together museums, zoos and cultural centers from all 50 states to offer free admission to all.

Enjoy experiencing our newest temporary exhibition — Bug Squad — located on the 4th floor of the Kirby Science Discovery Center. Bug Squad is a hands-on exhibit exploring bugs, features animatronic insects and full sensory play spaces!
