Sioux Falls to Celebrate Cultural Diversity at the 2nd Annual Latino Festival and Parade
Sioux Falls, SD — On Sunday, September 15, 2024, the vibrant sounds, colors, and flavors of Latin America will fill the streets of Sioux Falls as the community comes together for the 2nd Annual Latino Festival and Parade. This exciting event promises to be a day of celebration, culture, and unity, bringing together people of all backgrounds to enjoy the rich heritage of the Latino community.
The festival will kick off at 11AM with a lively parade through the heart of Sioux Falls, starting on 8th St. and Phillips Ave. It will showcase traditional costumes, music, and dance from various Latin American countries. The parade will feature regional performers, cultural groups, and community leaders, highlighting the diversity and cultural pride of the Latino community in Sioux Falls.
Following the parade, the festivities will continue from 12PM to 5PM with an outdoor festival at The Levitt, featuring a variety of vendors offering delicious Latin American cuisine, artisanal crafts, and information on local services. Attendees can also enjoy live performances by musicians and dancers, representing the diverse cultural expressions of the Latino community.

The festival aims to foster a sense of community and cultural appreciation while supporting local businesses and artisans. In addition to the entertainment and vendors, there will be family-friendly activities, educational booths, and opportunities for community members to learn more about the contributions of the Latino community to Sioux Falls.
South Dakota Senator, Reynold F. Nesiba of Sioux Falls will also be in attendance to read a special proclamation issued by the City of Sioux Falls recognizing the significance of the Latino Festival and Parade to the city.
The event is free and open to the public, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for people of all ages. Attendees are encouraged to bring their friends and family to join in the celebration.
