Yankton Trail Park marks the location where early settlers crossed the Big Sioux River on the trail to Yankton, which was then the Dakota Territory capital. Today the park is the site of invitational, regional and state soccer tournaments, and is home to the Manfred Szameit Soccer Complex, approximately 21 soccer fields and great access to the [bike trail](/listing/the-big-sioux-river-recreation-trail-and-greenway).
