Here’s a breakdown of what's new and what can be expected soon. ### The Jar Pickleball Club At the state's first and largest dedicated indoor pickleball club, you can reserve a court in advance so that you can jump in and play as soon as you arrive. With eight courts, instant replay technology, a pro shop, a locker room, and a snack and beverage station, [The Jar](https://thepbjar.com/) has everything you need as you level up your game. ### Scheels IcePlex The [Scheels IcePlex](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/scheels-iceplex) is adding new locker rooms, a new upper level viewing area, and a synthetic ice area for practicing puck skills, stick handling, passing, and shooting. The expansion is expected to be completed in late 2025 or early 2026. ### Sanford Diamonds The [Sanford Sports Complex](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/sanford-sports-complex) has seen an explosion of growth in recent years, and the [Sanford Diamonds](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/sanford-diamonds) is one of the newest additions. The Sanford Diamonds consists of a total of ten turf fields (five for baseball and five for softball.) Located at the [Sanford Sports Complex](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/sanford-sports-complex), this facility is equipped with lighting, locker rooms, and a mezzanine for spectating. ### New Hotels A new 86-room [Comfort Inn & Suites](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/comfort-inn-suites-sanford-sports-complex) has opened at the [Sanford Sports Complex](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/sanford-sports-complex), making it a convenient location for those attending athletic events at the Complex. [Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/canopy-by-hilton-sioux-falls-downtown) is a high-end boutique property that opened in December 2024 at [The Steel District development](https://www.thesteeldistrict.com/). This 216-room hotel has several onsite restaurants, convention space, and views of the Big Sioux River, while being within walking distance of [Falls Park](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/falls-park). ### Jacobson Plaza Adjacent to The Steel District is [Jacobson Plaza](https://www.experiencesiouxfalls.com/listing/jacobson-plaza-at-the-falls), which features an ice ribbon for skating during the winter months and roller skating during the summer.
