Fall Events Guide

Fall is full of favorites for many people. Apple orchards, pumpkin patches, colored leaves, and not to mention plenty of seasonal food and drinks. Mark your calendars for these upcoming fall events where you can get a taste of that all and much more.

Corn Maze

Navigate your way through the 11-acre corn maze in the design of an eagle at the Heartland Country Corn Maze beginning August 14 and running each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the end of October. This is the final year of operation for the Heartland Country Corn Maze. 

Fall Festival

The Fall Festival at Country Apple Orchard takes place every weekend in September and October, so you will have plenty of chances to join the fun. Wander through the apple orchard picking your favorite type of apples, enjoy fun and entertainment with over 20 attractions, and treat yourself to some fresh apple pie, apple crisp, apple cider, hot chocolate, and more.

Farmers Markets

Shop from dozens of vendors selling fresh produce, meat, art, pastries, and more at the Falls Park Farmers Market which runs each Saturday morning through October, at the Lake Lorraine Farmers Market which run each Thursday evening through October, and at the South Side Farmers Market at Landscape Garden Centers which runs each Tuesday morning through October.

63rd Annual Sidewalk Arts Festival

On September 12 over 230 vendors will line the streets of Downtown Sioux Falls around the Washington Pavilion for this annual arts and crafts outdoor market. You will find everything from custom paintings to yard decor and everything in between as well as baked goods and many other kitchen items.

10th Annual Oktoberfest

Remedy Brewing Company will hold its 10th Annual Oktoberfest on September 12. Enjoy an afternoon of games, German food, stein holding competition, live music, and more.

Oktoberfest Adult Night

The Great Plains Zoo will open its doors during the evening of September 26 for an adults-only outing for its Oktoberfest. Bavarian-themed menu items will be available for purchase, such as Beer Cheese Loaded Fries, Brats, Bavarian Pretzels, and - of course - beer! There will also be games and live music.

Junkin' Market Days

The annual Junkin' Market Days will take place October 9-10 at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall where you can shop from 100 small businesses selling chic home decor, rustic furniture, vintage finds, handmade jewelry, and much more.

Autumn Festival, An Arts & Crafts Affair

Vendors will be selling handcrafted goods November 20-22 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center during the annual Autumn Festival, An Arts & Crafts Affair. You'll find things like home decor, gifts, and more.
